Hi! I’m Mary Bedell, and I started LifesYearning.com after I finally figured out how to lose weight and keep it off. I lost 40 pounds in a year by doing two simple things: eating less added sugar and eating more protein. It sounds easy, but it took me years to figure that out!
Like so many people, I tried diet after diet and felt frustrated by all the mixed-up advice out there. One expert would say one thing, another would say the opposite. I was tired of wasting money on things that didn’t work and feeling confused about what to eat.
That’s when I realized something important: there’s no one-size-fits-all solution. What works for me might not work for you because we all have different lives, different health situations, and different food preferences. Maybe you don’t eat meat, or you travel a lot for work, or you have a medical condition that affects what you can eat. That’s totally normal!
That’s why I created this site. Instead of telling you there’s only one “right” way to lose weight, I help you figure out what’s right for YOU. I test and review all kinds of weight loss products and programs so you can see what might fit your specific situation. I spend my time trying different programs, testing products, and reading research so you can make better choices. I tell you the honest truth about what works, what doesn’t, and who each option might be best for.
I also create guides that give you options instead of rules. Instead of saying “you must do this,” I show you different ways to eat healthier so you can pick what fits your life. Plus, I share tons of practical tools to help you actually follow through – things like easy recipes, meal plans, exercise routines, and helpful apps that make staying on track easier.
